Amy Henry

After designing and creating the construction plans for over 100 custom homes on California’s Central Coast, Amy Henry started blogging about books, with a focus on reviewing translated literature. She became a freelance writer with a few journals and then returned to college to complete her English degree. Her reviews, author biographies, and poems have been published in the US and Canada, as well as on her website, www.theblacksheepdances.com. Recently she began consulting with authors regarding content and flow on upcoming novels, helping ensure consistency in the finished product.

She lives in California with her husband and two of her sons. Working as a court-appointed child advocate (CASA) for foster youth, she also tutors remedial math and English high school students through a college outreach program. Going to class is still on the schedule as she’s nearly completed her additional Arts and Humanities degree. For fun, she abuses copper to create unique jewelry and assemblage art from vintage finds. Coffee, cats, and the BBC keep her sane.
