John Wilsey

John Wilsey grew up in Jersey in the British Crown Dependency of the Channel Islands. He was commissioned into The Devonshire and Dorset Regiment and served in Cyprus, Libya, Malta, British Guiana, Germany and the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland. His fascination for all things Irish results from his seven tours in the province, and in 1990 he became GOC and Director of Operations in Northern Ireland. Now retired, he and his wife Elizabeth have two children.
