Bill C. Malone

Bill C. Malone is a professor of history emeritus at Tulane University. A prolific author who has written extensively on southern music and culture, Mr. Malone’s books include Don’t Get above Your Raisin’: Country Music and the Southern Working Class; Country Music USA; Southern Music/American Music; and Working Girl Blues: The Life and Music of Hazel Dickens (Music in American Life).
