Lisa Morton

Lisa Morton is a screenwriter, author of nonfiction books, award-winning prose writer, and Halloween expert whose work was described by the American Library Association’s Readers’ Advisory Guide to Horror as “consistently dark, unsettling, and frightening." Her most recent releases include the novella The Devil’s Birthday and the novel Zombie Apocalypse: Washington Deceased, and coming this fall (from Reaktion Books) is Ghosts: A Cultural History. She lives in the San Fernando Valley.

The Evil Within reads like that cult horror movie you’ve heard about—the one that combines A Nightmare on Elm Street with Cabin in the Woods—and took years to track down.
