James Marshall Smith

James Marshall Smith is a physicist and a novelist. His most recent book, Hybrid, was a finalist in the Colorado Gold Novel Contest and a short-list finalist for the William Faulkner-Wisdom Award. His debut novel, Silent Source, was an international finalist for the Clive Cussler Grand Master Award. 

Dr. Smith, an adjunct professor at Emory University in Atlanta, has been Chief of Radiation Studies for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and has also served in consulting and advisory roles for the International Atomic Energy Agency, the G7 Global Health Security Action Group, and for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

He belongs to the Authors Guild and International Thriller Writers.
