Laurel Dewey

Laurel Dewey was born and raised in Los Angeles. She began her career working in public relations for such celebrities as Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra before writing a string of mystery radio plays for Los Angeles radio networks. She is the author of two nonfiction books on plant medicine, a Silver Spur nominated Western novella, and hundreds of articles.

Ms. Dewey has appeared as a featured guest on more than 300 national radio and television programs and she has lectured extensively across the United States and Canada. To write the Jane Perry novels, she immersed herself in detailed research, interviewing Colorado homicide detectives and traveling on “ride-alongs” with street cops. She lives in Western Colorado with her husband.
