“Infused with loads of personality, Lots of Bots! is packed with some of the most inventive (and useful—moms take note) robots a kid could ever need. . . . it’s educational, too: there’s counting in it! What toddler wouldn’t love to have this book?

(And what parent wouldn’t love to see some of these bots come to life?)”

You don’t have to be a boy to love robots. As a matter of fact, you don’t even have to be a kid.

David A. Carter, creator of the well-known and beloved Bugs in a Box® series of pop-up books, together with author and illustrator Noelle Carter, has done it again.

Infused with loads of personality, Lots of Bots! is packed with some of the most inventive (and useful—moms take note) robots a kid could ever need. Feeling a bit low? Three Giggle Jiggle Wiggle Bots will cure that ill. Got a boo-boo? No worries, Four kooky Kissing Bots will “make it all go away.” And my favorite (in terms of utility), when your room is messy, all you have to do is call in the Vroom Vroom 2000 Vacuum Bots! WHERE can I get some of those? (And do they hoover up the mess on the children themselves?)

Saturated with color, the illustrations are vintage Carter: silly and whimsical, with lots of little hidden funnies to discover. The vibrant images of these lots o’ bots are complemented by very cool paper engineering: multiple lift-flaps revealing moving pop-ups, a pull-tab with Toothbrush Bots (another modern convenience I need to find at my nearby Target), panoramic two-page construction bots, and even pop-out Acro Bots (we forgive you for the pun, David and Noelle).

Oh yeah, and it’s educational, too: there’s counting in it! What toddler wouldn’t love to have this book?
