Ruta Arellano served as Associate Director of the California Task Force to Promote Self-Esteem and Personal and Social Responsibility, researching education, psychology, social services and mental health. She was a senior consultant to the California Legislature. Her book reviews have been widely published, including in Sacramento Book Review.
