“Emotional and thought provoking, this story confirms there is life after death for Believers.”
The natural order of life is for a parent to die before a child, but this is not the case with Ginny Brock. Her beloved youngest son passes suddenly at the age of 26. How does a mother (or any family member) cope with such a tremendous loss?
Ginny and her husband, Walt, are well traveled and have resided in many different countries around the world. They have three children: William, the oldest; Karen, the middle child; and Drew, who was born several years later while they lived in South Africa.
The Brocks unconditionally love their offspring and prepare them well for the adult world. Michael and Karen, now married and with little ones of their own, live in different parts of the U.S. far from their parents in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. Drew is the last to leave the nest, and he settles in the Rocky Mountains where he is employed at an upscale resort. Ebullient and gregarious, Drew loves his job and everyone loves him.
Imagine the shock Ginny experiences when she receives a call stating her son is suffering seizures and is not expected to live. Added to her pain is Walt’s passing unexpectedly from a heart attack not long before Drew took ill.
Ginny races to Drew’s hospital bedside, anguished.
By Morning’s Light is a comfort for anyone facing the loss of a loved one. It offers hope as well as answers about the hereafter. Emotional and thought provoking, this story confirms there is life after death for Believers.
