Jassy Mackenzie

Jassy Mackenzie was born in Rhodesia and moved to South Africa when she was eight years old. She lives in Kyalami near Johannesburg and edits and writes for the annual publication Best of South Africa. She was inspired to write Random Violence after getting hijacked at gunpoint in her own driveway. Random Violence, which introduced the renegade P.I. Jade de Jong, was shortlisted for Best First Book in the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, Africa region.
