Glenda Armand

Glenda Armand has taught grades pre-kindergarten through grade eight. She has also been a middle and high school librarian. When she was a child, her favorite “toy” was The Random House Dictionary of the English Language. Through her writing, she introduces children to exceptional but little known figures in American history.

Colin Bootman grew up in Trinidad and the U.S. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, he has illustrated numerous books for children, including Almost to Freedom, a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor Book. He lives in New York.
