Aric Davis has worked as a body piercer for 15 years and used his extensive knowledge about the industry to create A Good and Useful Hurt. His first novel, Nickel Plated, was published in 2010 and received rave reviews from critics. In addition to reading and writing, he also helps spread the word about local bands. He lives with his wife and daughter in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
