Alondra Nelson, Ph.D.
Alondra Nelson teaches sociology and gender studies at Columbia University. She is also an editor of Genetics and the Unsettled Past: The Collision of DNA, Race, and History; Technicolor: Race, Technology and Everyday Life; and Afrofuturism. Dr. Nelson’s essays, reviews and commentary have appeared in a variety of publications, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, the Guardian, and the Chronicle of Higher Education.
